It’s not often I see something and immediately go “wow!”. Well when I first clapped eyes on the Patagonia Fitz Roy Down parka I did just that and my mind got to scheming and how I could justify buying this in August for the next cold snap.
In a classic “viking blue” colour this immediately reminded me of the Rab expedition jackets that were popular in the mid 90’s.
The Patagonia Fitz Roy down parka is a beast of a jacket; made from a hardwearing Pertex Quantum® shell and filled with 800-fill-power traceable down, this isn’t just seriously hard wearing and warm, it’s also light. Which of course, will be one of your main concerns when you throw this on to head down to your local pub.
Those lads over in Beaverton, Portland OR really know how to make a trainer, don’t they? It’s almost as if it’s what they’ve been doing for years!
The Nike Air Zoom Mariah Flyknit Racer is Nike’s latest ultra light lightweight silhouette, featuring a lovely flyknit upper but differing from the flyknit racer with the addition of that fancy heel cage for extra stability.
These are a seriously light trainer, perfect for what’s left of the summer holidays, or you can do what I do and put them away till next year, either way, don’t hang around.
